It's a...

We had our 20w ultrasound this afternoon. The boys and Peter all came along - all three were surprisingly well behaved - and were allowed in the exam room the whole time. We took the portable DVD player for Liam (since ultrasound offices seem to be notorious for being late) so he was quite happy to sit and watch a french "Tintin" DVD.

Just to remind/inform all our loyal readers (ha!), Peter and I were both VERY convinced from the beginning that this baby was a girl. VERY convinced. Liam has also been talking all along about having a baby sister. We have great girls names to choose from... see where this is going?

That's right! It's a BOY! Peter and I are both shocked and - to be completely honest - a bit disappointed. Peter moreso than me. (Liam is downstairs pouting.) We'd all let ourselves get used to the idea of a little girl.

But it'll quickly pass I'm sure. After all, we have all boy clothes, all boy toys, all boy stuff - CUTE stuff! A boy is definitely the easiest and most cost effective option. The biggest problem we'll have is agreeing on a name! A name which, as in the past, WILL REMAIN SECRET.

Also, while I'm at it, here are some pictures of me from today. Since I'm half way through (20 weeks, 4(ish) days), I figured I'd better document the current size of my girth! :)

  1. Woot woot! Well, I know you're a bit disappointed, but we love nephews! We're really excited for you guys! Thanks for the exciting news and the pictures (Matt says "you don't look like you're very big", by the way, you good looker, you!). Love you all!
