BEFORE
AFTER
And another
So I cut Simon's hair.Clearly.
It's so hot and humid here. SO HOT AND HUMID. Peter's been bugging me to cut the boys hair for a few weeks. Liam's had several hair cuts (one in particular that made me cry), but this was Simon's first MAJOR chop.
Or buzz, as the case may be.
My head knows that this look is much more practical for the summer, but my heart (oh, my heart) hated to cut it all off. You might be thinking I should've just cut it short, but anyone who knows this child knows how impossible it would be to get him to sit still long enough to get an decent cut. So the razor it was.
Now look at this next picture. I can't look at it without laughing.
Aren't they all cute??
(Sorry for the noise all you photogs. Didn't realize my ISO was set to 800. Argh.)
BWAHAHAHAHA!!! that pic of simon and andrew is PRICELESS!!! i think you should go out and buy a bald cap for you and andrew and then take a family pic!

Oh he's adorable, both ways! And the one of he and Andrew is the BEST!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are adorable!! They are ALL sweet boys...even the big one (Peter)! I burst out laughing when I saw the picture of Simon and Andrew. Craig (Dad) was saying Andrew is worried about what Andrew is going to do to him next! Very practical haircuts for hot and humid weather! They are cute....even with no hair!

I feel the same way each summer when I cut Noah's hair short. I love his gorgeous "winter" hair lol!
ReplyDeleteSo so sad, but so so practical.
ReplyDeleteI do feel your pain :)
Love that last one of all your boys!
Oh, they are all so adorable! The new haircut is quite different but still sweet. Happy Summer!
ReplyDeleteI like Lynette's suggestion! The third pic looks like Simon is trying to decide "what to do next" and the fourth one looks like he has made a decision. He is a very cute skinhead! I love Liam's hair as it grows out and it will be interesting to see if Simon's changes any. In the meantime keep the hats ready at the back door! Have a great day...

That picture is hilarious!! Your boys are so cute (including the older one!!). I was very emotional when my little guy got his first cut. I have about 50 photos of it and they all look exactly the same!!!
ReplyDeleteMaria @BOREDmommy
Haha the look of Andrew makes me laught out loud!!! But I still found that Simon is really cute with is new hair cut! I never had courage to shave my boys head...I understand you!!!

Oh I so know what you're going through! I did that with my oldest son 2 years ago and I just wanted to cry!! But it is so much nicer for summertime!
ReplyDeleteAnd that picture of your 2 boys...hilarious!!
Look how gorgeous his eyes are with his hair short ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was tough for us (and I waited a long time too!) but am happy to have the ease of the short hair now.
it looks great
Oh my! Nothing like cutting it all off! Hubby wears his like that out of necessity and when my Stepson was younger he wanted it cut like Dad so we did his hair too. Thankfully J likes a little more hair on his head and hates the buzzer, so we go to a great guy who cuts it just right.
ReplyDeletehahahahaha!! LOVE that picture with Andrew looking at Simon - priceless!

Kind of neat to start their hair at zero and see how it grows back in. Peter looks like he is in his element surrounded by his three wriggly boys. What an incredible season of your lives!
ReplyDeleteAmy, I'm somewhat jealous, can't imagine how nice it must feel to let your scalp breathe in summer hotness. And I agree, your boys always looks adorable regardless of their hair, or lack thereof (and I'm usually partial to longer hair for boys ;)
ReplyDeleteI gave my baby his first hair cut a little over a month ago, and I feel your pain. They just don't look quite the same after.
ReplyDeleteBut I think he still looks great. You have some very handsome men in your life, indeed. :)
Oh I just lol'd, hahaha. I consider cutting Charlie's hair, but I just couldn't do it. I'm going to try to cut it shorter, but buzz him I will not. You're strong Mama, for getting the job done. Your poor heart though. My heart feels for your heart.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you oh so much for the encouraging comment that you left for me over at my blog :) I really appreciate your comments. All of them.
xx Tia
Such a cute bunch! Your eldest looks nothing like his siblings or his dad, I never noticed the difference until I saw this picture of them together. Oh well, he must of gotten his grandparent's genes.
