For Earth Hour 2009, the World Wildlife Fund set a target of one billion people shutting off their lights between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. today Saturday, March 28, 2009.
Will you (or DID you, if you're reading this after the fact) participate? Last year, there was a Flames vs Oilers game on during that time slot, so everything was off except the TV.
Not sure who's scheduled to play tonight but seeing as it's Saturday night, there WILL be hockey... Saving the earth or NHL hockey? You decide.
I'm pretty sure Hockey will win in this house!

ooooooh, it was a tough one here...but everything was off eXCEPT the tv for hockey....although, my husband was really good and shut the tv off during the intermission!! That was a huge step for him!!

Yes, we did it! We turned off everything and had a few drinks. We noticed nobody on our street had their lights off, except our neighbours and good friends across the street, so they came over and we played Scrabble. We left the power off for two hours b/c we weren't even paying attention to the time :-)
